Rare early etching from William Curtis's Botanical Magazine


This is plate 157, from June 1791: Hyacinth Botryoides, (Grape Hyacinth).


In excellent overall condition. Some mottling/ageing to the paper but with good strong colour.


This was hand coloured 227 years ago by one of around 30 artists Curtis employed to colour the engravings for his magazine.


Simply framed in duck cloth, print including frame is 23.5cm x 15cm
