Probably from a much larger piece, these beautifully modelled Bronze hands have been re-mounted as bookends. Unsure from which deity, but the technique and style is reminiscent of Thailand. Around 100 years old, they have been mounted as bookends some time in the past 30 - 40 years.
No major losses or damage, some missing decorative glass beads that were originally inset into rings etc and some losses of the gilding. Simply mounted on ebonised wood bases, these are very decorative pieces.
