Glamorous and futuristic, these beautiful lamps feel like they were designed for a mid century Sci Fi movie. Extremely bold in form and finish, they have a real feeling of heft, solidity and substance.
Not just an exercise in great aesthetics, they are a masterclass in functional design as well. The opaline glass giving the most wonderful diffuse, warm, even light. These will certainly look amazing anywhere, but we feel they are the perfect bedside lamps.
Condition
Newly rewired to modern UK standards with Ivory braided cable and a new inline switch. Overall excellent condition with the normal age related wear to the gold plate (overall spotting/tarnishing which gives them a wonderful patina similar to a crackle glaze finish on a ceramic). Please see images. Opaline glass is in perfect condition. The top caps are lined in white enamel to the interior, and have no loss of enamel (this and the ventilation holes keep the tops cold while the light is on).
